Analytics Professionals: Pattern Detectors & Integrity Analysts
This position must be coordinated with YOUR Secretary of State and/or Clerk Recorder.
Key Responsibilities:
Anomaly Detection: Use statistical models to flag irregular vote patterns, turnout spikes, or tabulator discrepancies.
Audit Trail Analysis: Compare digital logs with physical ballot counts to ensure consistency and transparency.
Predictive Modeling: Forecast potential vulnerabilities based on historical data and simulate attack scenarios to test system resilience.
Tools & Techniques:
Risk-Limiting Audits: Statistically sound methods to verify election outcomes by hand-counting a sample of ballots.
Chain-of-Custody Analytics: Track ballot movement and custody logs to detect gaps or inconsistencies.
Coordination with Election Officials is essential.
Secretary of State:
Oversees certification of voting systems and coordinates statewide cybersecurity protocols.
Can commission third-party audits and forensic reviews, as seen in Georgia’s post-election audit.
Clerk Recorders:
Implement physical and digital safeguards at the county level.
Responsible for securing equipment storage, enforcing access controls, and maintaining tamper-evident seals.
